There is something very satisfying about having someone come back to you for more miniatures. This happened to me recently, and I was only too happy to respond. A few weeks ago, I painted some orange, red and grey marines designed by the client’s son. With the release of Indomitus, I was asked to paint a whole bunch more in the same scheme.
The only thing I did differently this time was to base coat them red, rather than black, which made a huge difference in getting an even colour on the orange parts of the marines. Here they are:
It was also fun to paint Phobos armour – something I have not yet done. I am pleased with the results, and more importantly, so was the client.
Those are great. Only a fool wouldn’t be pleased with them.
The orange has come out lovely.
Cheers,
Pete.

Thanks Pete.
I find that I really like painting orange, it can be a pain to get vibrant but I like the end results.
