Adeptus Titanicus – Mortis v Astorum

Now that we are allowed out again, a friend of ours came over for a game of Titanicus. He also has Mortis so it was a team up with him and myself against Dave.

It has been ages since we played, so some time was spent remembering rules, but we quickly got into the swing of the game.

I used the axiom maniple, with the Warlord as the ‘princeps senioris’. Redtoof had 3 warhounds and a reaver. We fought against Astorum – a warlord, warhound, warbringer, reaver and knights.

It was a lot of fun. Turn one saw several Mortis Warhounds get shields striped and injured. The knights were also clobbered.

Mortis then drove a near dead warhound at the warlord and knights hoping that it would explode and take some out with it. It did not. Instead it turned around and shot at its reaver… not so helpful.

In the end, there was a chase around a building, lots of damage but not a lot of killing. Astorum tech adepts are wonderful at reigniting shields which caused a problem for Mortis.

The game ended on a draw, though Mortis claimed the moral victory for being more painted than Astorum!

Either way, it was a a lot of fun!
