Raven Guard – Part ?

I confess to losing count as to how many parts I have done the Raven Guard army in, but I have enjoyed every single bit of it.

This section was 20 Tactical marines of the new variety. I am so pleased with how sharp the highlights have turned out and as always, the green to break up the black.

The owner of this army is leaving the UK for the great Canadian outdoors, and as a thank you and good luck, I built a captain with some parts I have kicking about the house. Here are the results:

I’m so pleased with the freehand on the banner and his shoulder pad. He has been named ‘The Blacksmith’ by his new owner, and I hope he brings glory and success to his chapter in the future.

Land Raider Spartan – Raven Guard

Hurrah! Here we have another tank that I have worked on recently. This time, it is one of the new Land Raider Spartans for the Raven Guard army I have been painting through the year. I absolutely love tanks, and of course, this one was as good as all the others I have done. Every one I do just reminds me how much fun tanks are. Here it is, in all it’s glory.

I’m so pleased with how it turned out. The scuffs and battle damage make this tank seem as though it has already been in combat and of course it matches the others in the army too!

More Raven Guard!

This week, I have mostly been working on the next set of Raven Guard! I enjoy painting these gusts, and feel they turned out really well. I particularly like how the claws turned out and the crazy shadow Captain – who I definitely do not want to meet either on or off the battlefield!!

Here they are, in all their dark, shadowy glory!

Raven Guard – Part 4

The next instalment in the Raven Guard Army is a contemptor dreadnought. I thoroughly enjoy painting vehicles and ‘larger’ miniatures, to this guy was a real joy to paint. I am so pleased with how the edge highlights turned out, and how they contrast the darkness of the black.

I tried to add in green and red elements, they feature elsewhere in other units for the army and so would help tie him in with those. I like to think I have done a good job with this guy.

Here he is, ready to stomp the enemy in 30K battles!
